Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Srisailam Temple: Key Decisions Approved

In the meeting of the Sri Shailam trustees, 22 agendas were discussed, and key decisions were made regarding development works, toilets, roads, drainage, dormitories, and facilities for devotees.

The 6th meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Tuesday at the Srisailam Temple. This meeting took place in the meeting hall of the temple office building, with the board president Sripothugunta Ramesh Naidu, members Sri Bodepudi Venkatasubbaraju, and Smt. Javvaji Rekha Goud participating via video conference.

Several members and special invitees, including Executive Officer M. Srinivas Rao, attended in person. A total of 22 agenda items were discussed in the meeting, of which 15 items were approved. Five items were postponed, and two items were rejected. At the beginning of the meeting, the president stated that special measures are being taken to develop basic facilities in the temple area.

He mentioned that all arrangements would be made according to the influx of devotees, ensuring their complete satisfaction. As key decisions, it was resolved to construct permanent public toilets in 20 locations within the temple area under the B.O.T. (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. It was decided to complete these works within six months. Approval was granted for the construction of a CC road from the toll gate to Kumarasadanam at a cost of ₹24 lakhs. It was also decided to undertake underground drainage bypass works from the workshop to the old Patalaganga steps at a cost of ₹36.5 lakhs.

Approval was granted for the tender related to the supply of fodder for the cows at the temple's cow conservation center. Additionally, permission was given to establish a new branch of the Bank of India in the Siddaramappa Shopping Complex. Given the increasing number of devotees, it was decided to commence the construction of a new queue complex soon. Steps will also be taken to modernize the current dormitories and construct new ones.

As part of environmental conservation, it was targeted to plant at least six thousand saplings during the upcoming monsoon season. The meeting extensively discussed further programs for the development of the Srisailam temple.
