Suryapet: A horrific road accident occurred in Suryapet district of Telangana early in the morning. A travel bus collided with a container on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada national highway near Dwarakunta in the Kodada mandal. In this accident, five passengers lost their lives, while around 20 others were injured.
It is reported that the travel bus, which was on its way from Hyderabad to Eluru, lost control and crashed into the container as it reached Dwarakunta. Due to the severity of the accident, the front part of the bus was severely damaged. Several passengers were trapped inside the bus and were heard screaming in agony.
Upon receiving the information, local residents and police immediately reached the accident site and initiated rescue operations. The injured passengers trapped in the bus were rescued and taken out, and they were rushed to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment. The police are investigating the details of the deceased and the full causes of the accident.
As a result of the accident, there was a significant traffic jam on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway. With vehicles stuck for kilometers, travelers faced severe difficulties. The police are continuing their rescue operations while managing the traffic.
