Arjitha Sevas to remain suspended from August 9 to 11 at Srisailam

Srisailam temple tweaks seva timings for the Varuna Yagam, with select rituals and darshan options paused amid the expected weekend crowd.

The Srisaila Devasthanam will conduct a five-day Varuna Yagam with Sahasra Ghatabhishekam from August 7 to 11, with prayers seeking timely rainfall, good crops and the prosperity of the state, Temple Trust Board Chairman Potugunta Ramesh Naidu and Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao said. In view of the expected devotee rush, Arjitha Sevas at the Ganapathi Homam, Rudra Homam, Mrityunjaya Homam, Chandi Homam and Vrudha Mallikarjuna Swamy shrine will remain suspended from August 9 to 11. Arjitha Paroksha Sevas will also not be available during these days. Sparsha Darshan of Sri Swamy will be completely suspended on August 9 and 10. On August 11, it will not be available in the morning and afternoon, with access permitted only in the evening. As August 9 and 10 fall on Saturday and Sunday, Garbhagriha Abhishekams and Samoohika Abhishekams will also remain unavailable as usual. Devotees have been urged to take note of the temporary changes and extend their cooperation to the Devasthanam.
