A large number of devotees thronged the sacred Indrakeeladri temple on the occasion of Sankata Hara Chaturthi, participating in various Arjitha Sevas in the divine presence of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy. With the ongoing wedding season and summer holiday rush, temple authorities stepped up efforts to ensure smooth and hassle-free darshan for all devotees. As part of the crowd management measures, the temple staff undertook queue line regulation and implemented several crowd control arrangements. In view of the heavy footfall, the sale of Rs. 500 darshan tickets was suspended from 10 AM, and Antaralaya Darshan was also temporarily stopped to manage the rush effectively. Special darshan arrangements were made for mothers carrying infants, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities, ensuring easier access for vulnerable devotees. To provide relief from the harsh summer heat, the construction of temporary shaded shelters around the main temple premises is being carried out on a priority basis. Devasthanam Executive Officer V.K. Sreenanaik personally inspected various parts of the temple premises from 9 AM onwards and reviewed the arrangements made for devotees.

During his visit, he interacted with devotees, collected their feedback, and took note of several concerns. The EO expressed displeasure over water stagnation near the coconut breaking area on the route to the Shiva temple, as well as the accumulation of garbage on the hillside beyond the compound wall.

He directed engineering officials to clear the waste immediately and take steps to improve greenery in the area. Speaking on the occasion, V.K. Sreenanaik said the temple administration is committed to preserving the heritage and spiritual significance of this ancient and prominent shrine located in the state capital, while also ensuring that devotees are provided with all necessary facilities. He stated that the field-level inspection was aimed at understanding devotee footfall, identifying difficulties faced by pilgrims, and taking prompt action to resolve problems and improve services. Temple Chairman Borra Radhakrishna (Gandhi), who also inspected the areas around the Yagashala, said the administration is making every effort to enhance devotee satisfaction and improve the overall pilgrimage experience.
