The responsibility to increase gas supply according to the needs of the people lies with the central government, the minister stated. However, he noted that the common people are suffering due to the central government's decisions that do not take state needs into account. Currently, the disruptions in gas supply are severely affecting the transportation sector, small businesses, and residential consumers, the minister said.
He mentioned that the state government is reviewing the situation and taking measures to prevent difficulties for the people. The gas supply needed for the state must be increased. Clear policies regarding gas distribution should be brought in, keeping the needs of the states in mind. Protecting the interests of the people is the primary goal of the state government, and Ponnam Prabhakar stated that if the central government cooperates, a quick resolution to the problem can be achieved.
