Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has alleged that the war in West Asia has caused disruptions in gas supply. He demanded that the central government take immediate action to prevent difficulties for the public.

Due to the central government's policies and the gas shortage caused by the ongoing war in West Asia, there has been a disruption in gas supply to India, leading to a severe shortage of cooking gas and commercial cylinders. Telangana's Minister for BC and Transport, Ponnam Prabhakar, alleged that hotels and restaurants are still suffering from this crisis, and the common people are facing significant difficulties with gas bookings and deliveries. This has created a situation where alternatives for cooking need to be explored. The central government is behaving as if it is unconcerned while the people are suffering.

There are eight MPs from the state, and two central ministers, yet they are unable to bring adequate gas to the state. When such problems exist, the central government should play a significant role. The Narendra Modi government, which previously urged to stop the Ukraine-Russia war, is now behaving as if it is indifferent. People are worried about the cooking gas shortage, which is currently not present. Why is there no specific announcement from the central government ensuring that the public does not face any issues regarding gas? Minister Ponnam Prabhakar questioned why the central government is not responding to the questions raised by opposition leader Rahul Gandhi about why gas prices were increased when there was no shortage.

Experts in the agricultural sector are warning that there could be a shortage of fertilizers in the future along with gas. The central government must intervene immediately to prevent the gas shortage. It should ensure that there is no fertilizer shortage. The responsibility to increase gas supply according to the needs of the people lies with the central government, the minister stated. However, he noted that the common people are suffering due to the central government's decisions that do not take state needs into account. Currently, the disruptions in gas supply are severely affecting the transportation sector, small businesses, and residential consumers, the minister said.

He mentioned that the state government is reviewing the situation and taking measures to prevent difficulties for the people. The gas supply needed for the state must be increased. Clear policies regarding gas distribution should be brought in, keeping the needs of the states in mind. Protecting the interests of the people is the primary goal of the state government, and Ponnam Prabhakar stated that if the central government cooperates, a quick resolution to the problem can be achieved.
