Dubai, June 12:
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has partnered with YouTube to significantly expand global access to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, aiming to attract new audiences and boost the growth of women’s cricket in emerging markets.
Under the collaboration, all official warm-up matches and the ICC Captains’ Carnival have been streamed live on YouTube. In addition, every match of the tournament will be available live in selected territories, including Nepal, Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan, allowing fans in non-traditional cricket markets to follow the action closely.
The initiative also includes audience engagement campaigns across several countries such as Malaysia, France, Italy, Hong Kong, South Korea, Indonesia, and Thailand. Cricket fans in a number of European nations will also receive enhanced digital content and promotional activities throughout the tournament.
To improve accessibility, YouTube will offer local-language content and commentary options in languages including Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, and Thai. Fans worldwide will also have access to match highlights, analysis, and on-demand video content, helping broaden the tournament’s reach beyond live broadcasts.
ICC Head of Digital Finn Bradshaw said the partnership would help introduce cricket to new audiences while strengthening engagement with existing fans. YouTube APAC Vice President Gautam Anand described the platform as a global destination for sports content and said the collaboration would help break language barriers and connect more fans with women’s cricket. The tournament opened on June 12 with England taking on Sri Lanka, marking the start of the largest ICC Women’s T20 World Cup to date.
