New Delhi, June 22: National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Abhishek Singh has asserted that the recently conducted NEET-UG re-examination was carried out with the highest standards of security and accuracy, describing it as “as error-free and flawless as possible.”
Speaking in Delhi, Singh said the agency worked closely with multiple security and government agencies to ensure a smooth examination process. He emphasized that extensive measures were taken to maintain a balance between student convenience and examination security while ensuring zero tolerance for malpractice.
Addressing concerns over the temporary ban on Telegram channels linked to exam-related discussions, Singh said the NTA was fully confident about the safety of the question papers and the integrity of the examination process. According to him, certain online platforms were spreading a false perception of paper leaks, causing unnecessary anxiety among students.
He noted that misleading claims and fake question papers circulating online not only created stress among candidates but also enabled fraudsters to exploit students and parents by selling bogus materials. Singh said action was necessary to prevent cyber fraud and protect students from misinformation.
The NTA chief reiterated that the agency maintained complete control over the chain of custody of examination materials and that all necessary safeguards were in place to ensure a fair and secure examination environment
