Representatives of the recognised cricket administration have alleged serious constitutional violations by an unrecognised cricket association, accusing it of unlawfully organising inter-district tournaments while falsely claiming affiliation with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the Hyderabad Cricket Association, and the Telangana Cricket Association.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, they asserted that the association has neither legal recognition nor constitutional authority to conduct official cricket competitions. They described the alleged actions as involving fraud, trademark infringement, and the misuse of the identities of recognised cricket bodies, thereby misleading players, parents, educational institutions, sponsors, and the wider public.
The representatives warned that such unauthorised activities undermine the credibility of the official cricket administration and could adversely affect the future of aspiring cricketers. They called upon the competent authorities to take immediate legal and regulatory action against those responsible and urged players, coaches, and institutions to verify the authenticity of tournaments before participating. Reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding the integrity of cricket governance, they stated that official competitions must be conducted solely by duly recognised and authorised bodies in accordance with the constitutional framework governing the sport.
