To provide more convenient services to devotees, the Sri Shailam Devasthanam has undertaken key initiatives. Self-service kiosk machines have been set up at several locations within the temple premises, and the kiosks established near the laddu prasadams sales center were inaugurated on Tuesday evening by the Executive Officer and members of the Board of Trustees.
According to temple tradition, these machines were launched after the completion of the puja rituals. Through these kiosks, devotees can easily obtain tickets for darshan, prasadam, and keshakhandana. Additionally, it will also be possible to make donations for various schemes of the temple. Kiosk machines have also been set up at the Central Reception Office, Mallikarjuna Sadan, Ganga Sadan, Kalyana Katta, Old Donation Center, and Gangadhara Mandapam.
On this occasion, temple officials stated that these kiosks were established with the intention of providing technology-based improved services to devotees. They mentioned that this would allow devotees to obtain tickets personally, thereby saving time.
The Andhra Pradesh government has already introduced the 'Manamitra' WhatsApp service, which allows for the advance booking of 17 types of tickets related to the temple. Similarly, tickets for darshan and arjita services can also be booked in advance through the temple's official website www.srisailadevasthanam.org and the Endowments Department website www.aptemples.ap.gov.in.
Meanwhile, these kiosk machines were provided to the temple by Karur Vysya Bank as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
