On the occasion of the divine Kalyanotsavam of Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy, which is celebrated at Annavaram Ratnagiri, the ceremonial presentation of sacred garments was grandly conducted from the shrine of Sri Kanakadurga Devi at Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada on Sunday evening.
Following a tradition that has been ongoing for decades, the official team from the Indrakeeladri temple reached the Ratnagiri temple. The Chairman of the temple's Board of Trustees, Borra Radhakrishna (Gandhi) and his wife, Executive Officer V.K. Sheena Naik and his wife, along with priests and members of the Board of Trustees, arrived at Annavaram with the sacred garments, where they were warmly welcomed by the officials of the Ratnagiri temple.
Amidst the sounds of auspicious musical instruments, the sacred garments and puja items were presented to the deity with devotion on behalf of Sri Kanakadurga Devi. Following the darshan of the deity, under the leadership of EO Chakradhara Rao of the Annavaram temple, Vedic scholars provided Vedic blessings to the team from Indrakeeladri. During this occasion, the officials of both temples shared spiritual insights with each other.
The event saw participation from members of the Board of Trustees including Srinivas Rao, P. Raghavaraju, chief priest R. Srinivasa Shastri, and staff members M. Jayaprakash (JP), K. Leelakrishna among others. The presentation of sacred garments from Indrakeeladri to Annavaram during the Kalyanotsavam of Satya Deva once again clearly reflected the spiritual bond between these two prominent pilgrimage sites.
