Karimnagar, April 22:
A road accident in Telangana’s Karimnagar left several passengers injured after a state-run RTC bus collided with a lorry on Wednesday morning.
The incident reportedly took place near the Kothirampur bypass when the bus, travelling on a busy stretch, crashed into a lorry. The force of the collision caused severe damage to the front portion of the bus, leaving passengers shaken.
According to preliminary information, multiple passengers sustained injuries, with a few said to be in serious condition. Locals rushed to the spot immediately after the accident and assisted in rescuing the injured before emergency services arrived.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities stated that all victims are currently under medical supervision, and efforts are underway to ensure proper care.
Police have registered a case and begun an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, including whether overspeeding or driver error played a role.
