South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Friday inspected the M/s Ultratech Cement Siding at Malkhaid station to review freight operations, infrastructure, and future development plans.
He was accompanied by senior SCR officials, including Principal Chief Operations Manager K. Padmaja and Secunderabad Divisional Railway Manager Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan. The General Manager began the inspection by travelling in a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)-equipped coach from Secunderabad to Tandur to assess track safety using advanced non-destructive technology.
During the visit, he inspected the siding's infrastructure, Central Control Room, production plant, loading facilities, and freight handling systems.
He witnessed a live demonstration of modern monitoring equipment, reviewed plans to improve operational efficiency, and held discussions with Ultratech officials on future expansion and innovative freight solutions. He also received representations from local residents and stakeholders at Malkhaid station regarding the improvement of railway services
