South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Sunday presented “Employee of the Month Safety Awards” to 14 railway employees at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad, recognising their alertness and dedication in ensuring safe train operations.
The awardees included Track Maintainers, Pointsmen, Technicians, Train Managers, Station Masters and Loco Pilots from Guntakal, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Secunderabad and Nanded divisions. During the safety review meeting, attended by Satya Prakash, Principal Heads of Departments and DRMs through video conference, the GM reviewed summer precautionary measures and directed officials to strengthen fire safety systems, smoke detection maintenance, trackside patrolling and staff awareness programmes to prevent fire incidents.
He also reviewed the installation of CCTV cameras at private sidings and goods sheds, besides assessing track fencing works at trespassing-prone locations, and instructed officials to expedite safety measures across the zone.
