Hyderabad, March 12 In a significant development, officials from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday reached the residence of K. Kavitha, senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), in Hyderabad as part of the ongoing probe into the controversial Delhi Liquor Policy Case. Sources said a team of CBI officials visited Kavitha’s residence to carry out investigative procedures linked to the case, which has been under scrutiny by central agencies for alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy. The agency is reportedly gathering additional information and documents related to the investigation. The visit triggered political reactions in Telangana, with several BRS supporters gathering near the residence soon after news of the CBI team’s arrival spread. Security around the area was tightened as officials continued their inquiry.
