Telangana: New train service from Andhra Pradesh to Northeast India.

The Amrit Bharat Express has been launched between Charlapalli and Kamakhya, providing a new train service from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to Northeast India.

The railway authorities have announced the launch of a new Amrit Bharat Express train service between Cheralapalli and Kamakhya. This train will commence its journey from Kamakhya, a famous pilgrimage site in Assam, on March 13, 2026. Operating with sleeper and general second-class coaches, this train will connect the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh with Kamakhya in Assam. It aims to provide safe, comfortable, and cost-effective travel for long-distance passengers heading to Assam, which serves as a gateway to the northeastern states of India.

This train will stop at various stations along its route in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram Junction, Pendurthi, Duvvada, Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Nalgonda in both directions.
