NEW DELHI: Apple has unveiled its first foldable iPhone, iPhone Duo, in India with a starting price of ₹2,99,900, marking the company’s entry into the premium foldable smartphone segment.
The new device features a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch foldable inner screen, offering users a larger display experience when unfolded.
The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip and comes with a 48-megapixel dual-camera system. Other key features include Touch ID and a dual-battery setup designed to support the foldable form factor.
The device will operate entirely through eSIM, with no physical SIM card support. Apple is set to open pre-orders at 5:30 pm on October 16, while retail sales will begin on October 23.
The iPhone Duo will reportedly be available in four storage configurations, ranging from 256GB to 2TB, targeting consumers looking for a high-end foldable device with Apple’s ecosystem and hardware capabilities.
The launch puts Apple directly into the increasingly competitive foldable smartphone market, where premium devices with larger flexible displays are gaining traction.
