Rahul Gandhi Targets Modi Government Over Student Crackdown: "Attack on Every Indian Family"

Rahul Gandhi slams the Modi government over police action on protesting students, calling it an attack on every Indian family, and urges citizens to join the Congress protest.

Breaking News

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a blistering attack on the Narendra Modi-led government over the police action against protesting students, calling it "an attack on every Indian family" and accusing the Centre of trying to crush the voices of India's youth.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government believes it can escape accountability through force, but warned that "this time, it will not be able to." He said the crackdown has sparked nationwide outrage and vowed that the opposition would continue its fight until justice is delivered.

Calling for a massive public mobilisation, Gandhi appealed to citizens across the country to join the Congress protest outside the Prime Minister's residence, saying every Indian who believes students deserve justice must stand against what he described as the government's "authoritarian actions."

The Congress has intensified its offensive by raising the issue both in Parliament and through nationwide protests, demanding accountability for the police action. The BJP, however, has rejected the Congress's allegations, further escalating the political confrontation over the handling of the student protests.

As the row deepens, the student protest issue has rapidly transformed into a major political flashpoint, triggering a fierce face-off between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress.
