Bhojshala Case Verdict: Madhya Pradesh High Court Delivers Major Win for Hindu Side

Madhya Pradesh High Court recognizes Bhojshala in Dhar as a temple of Maa Saraswati, giving a major legal victory to the Hindu side in the long-running dispute.

Breaking News

In a significant ruling, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has recognized the Bhojshala complex in Dhar as a temple associated with Goddess Vagdevi, also worshipped as Maa Saraswati. The decision is being hailed as a major legal victory for Hindu organizations and devotees who have argued for years that the site is an ancient Hindu temple.

The dispute over Bhojshala has continued for decades. Hindu groups maintain that the monument was originally built as a temple and a center of learning during the reign of King Bhoj. The Muslim community has referred to the structure as the Kamal Maula Mosque and has also laid claim to the site.

After examining historical records, archaeological findings, and arguments from all parties, the High Court observed that the evidence strongly supports the temple character of the complex. The court also reaffirmed the right of Hindus to offer prayers at the site in accordance with existing legal arrangements.

The verdict has sparked celebrations among Hindu groups in Madhya Pradesh and across the country. Many called the judgment a recognition of the site’s historical and religious significance. Authorities tightened security in Dhar to ensure peace following the announcement.

The ruling marks an important development in one of India’s most prominent heritage and faith-related disputes. While the decision is a major boost for the Hindu side, the matter could still move to the Supreme Court if any party chooses to challenge the High Court’s judgmen
