U.S. President Donald J. Trump has issued a statement claiming that, following requests from Pakistan and several other countries, a temporary pause has been agreed upon in what he referred to as “Project Freedom,” related to the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

In his statement, Trump said the decision comes after what he described as “tremendous military success” during operations against Iran and ongoing diplomatic progress toward a “complete and final agreement” with Iranian representatives. He suggested that negotiations have reached a critical stage requiring a short operational pause.

According to the claim, the blockade measures will remain fully in effect, but maritime activity under “Project Freedom” will be temporarily suspended to allow space for finalizing and potentially signing an agreement. No independent confirmation of these developments has been provided by U.S. government agencies or international maritime authorities.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most sensitive shipping routes, and any disruption or military-related restriction in the region typically draws global concern due to its impact on oil transportation and international trade.

Officials from Iran, Pakistan, and other involved nations have not yet publicly responded to the statement. The situation continues to develop amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Gulf region.
