UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has issued a strong warning against any external attempts to fuel antisemitism within Britain, saying such actions “will not be tolerated” under any circumstances. The remarks were made during a high-level security summit held at Downing Street with senior ministers and law enforcement officials.

Starmer specifically cautioned that if any foreign state, including Iran, is found to be involved in encouraging hate or unrest in the UK, the government would take strict action. He emphasised that protecting Britain’s democratic values and community harmony remains a top priority.

The meeting comes amid growing concern over a recent rise in antisemitic incidents across parts of the country. Security agencies are currently investigating several cases to determine whether there is any coordinated or external influence behind them.

Authorities have already increased security around Jewish community centres, synagogues, and public events, while intelligence teams continue monitoring potential extremist networks. Officials say the response is being handled with urgency to prevent further escalation.

The UK government has reiterated its zero-tolerance approach toward hate crimes and foreign interference, with Starmer stressing that any attempt to divide communities will be met with “firm and immediate consequences.”
