West Bengal is witnessing a fresh wave of political violence as tensions soar across several rural pockets of the state. Reports indicate that workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) allegedly attacked and set fire to offices of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), intensifying the already charged atmosphere.

The situation turned more volatile near the residence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, where BJP supporters staged aggressive rallies. Protesters raised slogans against the state government, and in some instances, clashes broke out between demonstrators and police personnel.

Law enforcement agencies have been deployed in large numbers across sensitive areas as the situation threatens to spiral out of control. Police reportedly resorted to lathi-charge and used tear gas to disperse violent crowds and restore order.

Meanwhile, TMC leaders have strongly condemned the attacks, accusing BJP cadres of deliberately targeting their party infrastructure and disrupting peace. On the other hand, BJP leaders have denied the allegations, counter-accusing TMC of instigating violence for political gain.
