: Amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, unverified claims circulating on social media suggest growing anger among Iranian officials toward Pakistan over alleged involvement in facilitating oil shipments to the United States through the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz.

According to these reports, sections of Iranian leadership are reportedly displeased with what is being described as Pakistan’s indirect support to U.S. oil logistics. The claims further allege that certain oil tankers were allowed to transit under Pakistani identification, including the use of Pakistani flags, while transporting oil linked to U.S. interests. However, there has been no official confirmation from either the Government of Pakistan or Iranian authorities regarding these allegations. Defence analysts caution that such claims could be part of misinformation campaigns, especially given the sensitive nature of the Strait of Hormuz, which handles a significant portion of global oil trade. Security experts note that any escalation involving Pakistan and Iran would have serious regional implications, particularly at a time when tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel remain high. While speculative reports hint at possible retaliatory rhetoric, including threats to military infrastructure, no credible evidence has emerged to support claims of imminent action by Iran against Pakistan. Officials and observers are urging caution, emphasizing the need to rely on verified sources as misinformation continues to spread rapidly across digital platforms.
