Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, arrived in Islamabad on Saturday for crucial diplomatic talks, as Pakistan once again positions itself at the center of efforts to ease tensions between Iran and the United States.

Araghchi is expected to meet senior Pakistani leadership to discuss regional security and explore pathways for de-escalation. His visit comes at a time when tensions remain high despite a fragile pause in hostilities. In a parallel development,

US representatives are also preparing to travel to Pakistan in what officials describe as a renewed diplomatic push. The move signals Washington’s willingness to re-engage, even as formal negotiations remain uncertain.

 However, Tehran has made it clear that no direct meetings with US officials are scheduled during this visit. Instead, Iran is likely to rely on Pakistan as an intermediary, continuing the pattern of indirect communication that has defined recent engagement between the two sides.
