In a stunning batting display at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, the India national cricket team piled up a huge 255/5 in 20 overs against the New Zealand national cricket team in the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday. India’s innings was powered by an explosive knock from Sanju Samson, who smashed 89 runs off just 46 balls, anchoring the innings with aggressive stroke play. He was well supported by Ishan Kishan, who scored 54 runs, and Abhishek Sharma, whose quickfire 52 off 21 balls gave India crucial momentum in the middle overs. The Indian batters dominated the New Zealand bowling attack from the start, sending the crowd in Ahmedabad into a frenzy with boundaries and towering sixes. With a mammoth target of 256 runs, the pressure now shifts to the New Zealand side as they attempt one of the biggest chases in T20 World Cup history.
