Vietnam Vacation Turns Tragic: 15 Indian Tourists Die in Speedboat Accident

Fifteen Indian tourists were killed after a speedboat overturned during a sightseeing trip in Vietnam, triggering a massive rescue and recovery operation.

A sightseeing trip in Vietnam ended in tragedy after a speedboat carrying Indian tourists overturned near the country's southern island region, killing at least 15 people. The accident occurred during a return journey from a popular tourist spot, sparking a large-scale rescue operation in the area.

 Local rescue teams, fishermen and emergency personnel rushed to the scene and managed to save several passengers from the water. Survivors were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, while search teams continued efforts to locate anyone missing after the incident.

Initial reports suggest rough sea conditions and high waves may have played a role in the accident. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether weather conditions, technical issues or safety lapses contributed to the disaster.

The Indian Embassy is working closely with Vietnamese officials to assist survivors and support the families of those who lost their lives. The incident has raised fresh concerns about safety measures during sea tourism activities in popular international destinations.
