Investigators have uncovered a new motive in the murder case of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal, alleging that prime accused Siya Goyal conspired with her alleged partner to gain "three years of freedom" before starting a life together.
According to the investigation, the alleged co-accused wanted to postpone marriage for a few years to focus on his career, while Siya's wedding to Ketan was scheduled for later this year. Police believe this led the duo to allegedly plan Ketan's murder instead of ending the engagement.
The investigation suggests the accused carefully planned the crime, conducted reconnaissance at the alleged crime scene, and attempted to make the death appear accidental. Police have also examined digital evidence, including internet searches and mobile phone records, as part of the probe.
