Congress leader says 152 exam paper leaks in 10 years affected 7.5 crore students, seeks PM Modi's apology over police action on protesters.

New Delhi, July 23: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has demanded the immediate removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging widespread failures in India's examination system.

Rahul Gandhi claimed that 152 examination question papers were leaked across the country over the past 10 years, and alleged that not a single person has been punished in connection with those cases. He said the repeated failures have affected the future of nearly 7.5 crore students and their families.

Holding the Union Education Ministry accountable, Rahul Gandhi said the Education Minister should take responsibility for the repeated lapses and step down from office. He urged the central government to restore public confidence in the country's examination and recruitment systems.

The Congress leader also condemned the recent police action against students protesting over examination-related issues. He said students have the democratic right to raise their concerns peacefully and criticized the use of force against demonstrators.

Rahul Gandhi further called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologise to students over the police action, saying the government should engage with young people instead of suppressing their voices.

The Centre has not issued an immediate response to Rahul Gandhi's latest remarks.
