Stay Alert, Stay Safe: Uppal Police Raise Awareness on Drugs and Cyber Crime

Uppal Police urge residents to stay streetwise against drugs and cyber scams, promoting vigilance, swift reporting and safer communities for everyone.

The Uppal Police conducted a public awareness programme at Trinas Heights Apartments to educate residents on the growing threats of drug abuse and cyber crime.

Addressing the gathering, Circle Inspector Ramulu Nayak Reddy urged citizens to remain vigilant, stressing that public awareness is the strongest defence against crime. He appealed to youngsters to stay away from narcotics and encouraged residents to report any drug-related activities to the police without delay. The officer also advised people never to share OTPs, bank details or personal information with unknown callers and to be cautious of suspicious links and online scams.

Victims of cyber fraud were asked to immediately dial the national cyber helpline 1930. Residents, apartment committee members and youth actively participated in the programme, reaffirming their commitment to building a safer and crime-free community.
