Hyderabad: The investigation into trainee IPS officer Uday Krishna Reddy's alleged suicide attempt has taken a fresh twist after medical examination reports reportedly found no evidence of any poisonous substance in his body.

According to sources familiar with the medical findings, doctors concluded that no toxic liquid or poison was detected during the examination. The reports reportedly indicate that excessive alcohol consumption led to Uday Krishna Reddy becoming unconscious, raising fresh questions over the initial claims that he had consumed a poisonous liquid.

The latest medical findings are expected to play a crucial role in the ongoing police investigation, as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Uday Krishna Reddy, a native of Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh, earned recognition after clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 and joining IPS training. His journey from a challenging background to the civil services had made him an inspirational figure.

The trainee officer recently landed in controversy after an Attapur Police case was registered against him based on a complaint filed by a fellow woman trainee IPS officer. The complaint includes allegations of sexual harassment, physical assault, criminal intimidation, and blackmail. Following the case, he was placed under suspension.

Soon after the allegations surfaced, Uday Krishna Reddy was admitted to a hospital after he was found unconscious at the training academy. While initial reports suggested he had attempted suicide by consuming a liquid substance, the latest medical findings indicating no traces of poison have added a new dimension to the case.

Meanwhile, his family continues to maintain that he has been falsely implicated and has demanded a fair and impartial investigation. Police officials have not yet issued a final statement on the medical findings, and the investigation remains ongoing.
