Hyderabad, June 28: Asaduddin Owaisi has questioned whether authorities will take the same action against those accused in the alleged Ram temple donation theft case as they have in other criminal cases.
Referring to the allegations, Owaisi asked whether bulldozers would be used against the accused or whether they would be "shot in the leg," arguing that such measures should not be applied selectively. He questioned whether bulldozer action was meant only for Muslims or whether it would also be used against others accused of crimes.
His remarks come amid a political row over the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Mandir. An FIR has been registered against multiple accused following a preliminary SIT investigation, and the probe is continuing. Authorities have said those found guilty will face legal action.
Owaisi's comments have added to the growing political debate surrounding the alleged donation theft, with opposition leaders demanding accountability and transparency in the investigation.
