Hyderabad: Food Safety officials conducted inspections at two restaurants in the city and identified multiple food safety and hygiene violations, leading to the issuance of improvement notices.
During an inspection at Antera Restaurant in Madinaguda, Miyapur, officials reportedly found fungus-affected cauliflower and other vegetables, cooking oil deemed unsuitable for use, and vegetable stocks stored without proper labeling. Authorities directed the management to address the deficiencies and comply with food safety standards.
In a separate raid at La Pino'z Pizza located in Jubilee Enclave, Hitec City, inspectors detected insects inside refrigeration units, cockroach infestation in the kitchen area, improper storage of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items in the same space, and lizard droppings near food storage sections.
Food Safety officials issued improvement notices to both establishments and instructed them to rectify the violations within the prescribed timeframe. Authorities said inspections will continue across the city to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and protect public health.
