Hyderabad, April 11: On the occasion of Jyotirao Phule Jayanti, Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla paid rich tributes to social reformer Jyotirao Phule, remembering his unparalleled contribution to building an equitable society.

 In an official communiqué issued from Lok Bhavan, the Governor described Mahatma Phule as a visionary who dedicated his life to the ideals of equality, justice, and universal education. He emphasized that Phule’s relentless efforts laid the foundation for social transformation in India.

Highlighting his pioneering role, the Governor noted that Jyotirao Phule was among the earliest champions of women’s education and the rights of marginalized communities. His work broke social barriers and empowered generations to seek dignity and opportunity through knowledge.

 The Governor further stated that Phule transformed education into a powerful tool of social empowerment, ensuring that the underprivileged sections of society gained access to learning and self-respect. His reforms continue to influence modern policies and social thinking.
