The Italian government has announced a fresh package of economic support measures aimed at protecting families, businesses and workers as global market tensions continue to impact the economy. Following a late-night Cabinet meeting led by Giorgia Meloni, the government confirmed the continuation of fuel excise cuts and extended tax credits for the road transport sector with a total allocation of €300 million. The new measures also include stronger financial backing for the agricultural sector and an annual increase of €80 million to Italy’s National Fund for Local Public Transport, aimed at improving regional mobility services and easing operational pressure on transport systems. In addition, the Cabinet approved special interventions for Niscemi, focusing on territorial security and citizen safety
