Pakistan has stepped up its diplomatic messaging after a high-level conversation with Keir Starmer, portraying itself as a central force behind easing tensions between Iran and the United States. In a strongly worded statement, Pakistani leadership underscored what it called “sincere diplomatic efforts” that allegedly helped facilitate a fragile ceasefire and opened the door for renewed dialogue in the region.

The call with the UK Prime Minister is being projected as a major endorsement of Pakistan’s peace credentials, with officials highlighting international backing from key European powers. Islamabad pointed to a joint statement by global leaders—including Starmer—as validation of its growing diplomatic clout, signaling a clear attempt to reposition itself as a critical mediator in one of the world’s most volatile conflicts.

Taking an assertive tone, Pakistan emphasized that sustaining the Iran–U.S. ceasefire is non-negotiable, warning that any breakdown could destabilize the broader region. Officials insisted that continued engagement and pressure from global stakeholders are essential to prevent escalation, while subtly reinforcing Pakistan’s role as a bridge between competing powers.

Beyond the immediate crisis, the conversation also pivoted toward strengthening bilateral ties with the United Kingdom. Both sides reportedly discussed expanding cooperation across trade, security, and strategic sectors—an indication that Pakistan is seeking to leverage its diplomatic visibility into long-term geopolitical and economic gains

In a forward-looking move, Pakistan extended an invitation to Keir Starmer to visit the country, signaling confidence and intent to deepen relations. The aggressive diplomatic push suggests Islamabad is not just content with behind-the-scenes negotiations—it now wants global recognition as a decisive player shaping peace in the region.
