According to reports, the FBI bulletin circulated through the Los Angeles Joint Regional Intelligence Center suggested that Iran might attempt a “surprise attack” using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from a vessel off the U.S. West Coast, specifically targeting locations in California.

Reuters +1 Officials from the White House emphasized that there is currently no credible or imminent threat to the United States, and the memo was shared only as part of routine intelligence coordination with local police agencies.

Reuters Gavin Newsom also stated that authorities are monitoring the situation but confirmed that California faces no immediate danger.

AP News Security agencies have nonetheless increased monitoring around major events and critical infrastructure as a precaution amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran.
