Mumbai, June 28:
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has said that while she has built a successful career in Hollywood, her English-language projects have not yet offered the same range of roles she experienced during her years in Bollywood.
Speaking at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Chopra reflected on her transition from Indian cinema to international entertainment, describing the journey as rewarding but creatively different.
"I haven't really done much," she said while comparing the opportunities she received in Hollywood with those in Bollywood. According to Chopra, Indian cinema allowed her to explore a wide variety of characters early in her career, whereas she is still working towards achieving similar creative diversity in English-language productions.
Chopra made her international breakthrough with the television series Quantico and has since appeared in several Hollywood films and streaming projects, establishing herself as one of the most recognisable Indian actors on the global stage. Beyond acting, she has expanded her international profile through production ventures, entrepreneurial projects and brand partnerships.
Her latest remarks have been widely seen as an honest reflection on the challenges of building a cross-cultural acting career while seeking meaningful and diverse roles.
