Hollywood actress Emily Blunt has revealed that she recorded a series of unusual sound effects herself for an upcoming sci-fi drama directed by Steven Spielberg, choosing not to rely on artificial intelligence-generated audio.

Blunt said she wanted the performance to feel authentic and personally created the strange vocal sounds required for a key sequence in the film. The actress reportedly expressed concerns about the growing use of AI in creative work and preferred a more traditional acting approach.

The highly anticipated science-fiction drama is set for release on June 12 and marks Spielberg’s return to the genre that helped define much of his filmmaking career.
