Mamata Banerjee Set for Comeback? Bengal Surveys Show TMC Advantage

The political temperature in West Bengal is rising fast, with fresh surveys indicating that Mamata Banerjee may once again be heading toward a strong comeback. Despite years of fierce opposition, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) appears to retain a solid grip on key voter segments, making the upcoming electoral battle intense and unpredictable.

According to multiple pre-poll assessments, TMC continues to enjoy significant support in rural regions and among women voters, largely driven by welfare schemes and direct benefit programs. Analysts say Mamata’s grassroots connect and populist approach are still working in her favor, giving her an edge over rivals at this stage.

On the other side, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is struggling to convert its aggressive campaign into consistent voter support. Internal factionalism, leadership gaps at the state level, and failure to fully capitalize on anti-incumbency sentiment are being seen as major hurdles for the party in Bengal.

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee has intensified her political strategy, sharpening her attacks on the BJP while reinforcing her image as a regional protector against central dominance. Her focus on minority outreach, welfare expansion, and emotional connect with voters is clearly shaping the narrative in her favor.

However, the battle is far from over. Surveys may suggest an advantage for Mamata, but shifting alliances, last-minute voter swings, and local issues could still alter the outcome. One thing is clear—defeating Mamata Banerjee in Bengal remains a tough challenge, and the final verdict is still wide open.
