Elections

Kochi,Kerala , April 3, 2026 In a sharp political attack during the campaign for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy targeted the NDA government, asserting that funds from the Centre are the right of the people and not a “charity” from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing public gatherings, the Chief Minister accused the NDA of attempting to project central allocations as political favors, emphasizing that such funds belong to taxpayers and must be distributed fairly among states. Revanth Reddy also challenged political rivals across the country to visit Telangana and study what he described as the “successful implementation” of welfare schemes under his government. He highlighted initiatives such as free bus travel for women and other social welfare programs as examples of fulfilling election promises in a time-bound manner. The Chief Minister claimed that Telangana stands as a model state in executing its election manifesto, stating that every major promise is being implemented with transparency and accountability. Taking his campaign message to Kerala, Revanth Reddy urged voters to reject what he termed as “politics of diversion” and instead support governance focused on welfare, rights, and development. The remarks are expected to intensify the political narrative ahead of the Kerala elections, with opposition parties likely to respond strongly to the Telangana CM’s statements.
