Ayodhya: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken its first major legal step in the alleged Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra donation misappropriation case by registering an FIR against eight named accused and several unidentified persons.
The FIR was filed following the recommendations of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted on the directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to investigate alleged irregularities in the handling of temple donations.
According to officials, the case names individuals allegedly involved in the collection and management of donation funds. Police have also included unidentified persons in the FIR as the investigation continues.
Authorities said the SIT's findings prompted the registration of the case, and further action will be based on evidence gathered during the ongoing probe. The government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency and taking strict action against anyone found guilty of financial misconduct.
