TTD Board Approves Key Decisions to Strengthen Devotee Services and InfrastructureDevotee Services and Infrastructure

TTD Board approved increased temple aid, infrastructure projects, Akshara Govindam launch, improved devotee facilities, and expanded welfare initiatives.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board, chaired by Sri B.R. Naidu, approved several key decisions at its meeting held in Tirumala on Tuesday to enhance devotee services and infrastructure.

The Board increased financial assistance for Dhupa, Deepa and Naivedyam from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 and announced the launch of the “Akshara Govindam” programme. A permanent Yagasala will be constructed at Alipiri. Among major approvals, ₹4.55 crore was sanctioned for additional toilets in Srivari Sarvadarshan queue lines, ₹43.40 crore for educational infrastructure, and ₹6 crore for a new water pipeline.

The Board also cleared procurement worth ₹44.20 crore and sanctioned funds for temple development works across various locations. Key decisions include construction of temples in Khammam and Mumbai, appointment of Dr. Shobha Raju as Asthana Vidwan, and expansion of welfare measures such as employee health benefits and free hearing aids for children.

 Overall, the Board focused on improving pilgrim amenities, strengthening infrastructure, and expanding welfare and spiritual initiatives.
