As part of the Arudra Utsav, special puja ceremonies were conducted at the temple from early morning with great devotion. On this occasion, a Mahanyasa Purvaka Ekadasha Rudrabhishekam, Annabhishekam, and other special pujas were performed for Sri Swami.

Subsequently, the Golden Chariot Festival was celebrated with grandeur in the temple premises. Before the chariot festival, the temple priests made a special Sankalpam for the welfare of the world. They prayed for peace and prosperity in the country, for natural disasters like excessive rainfall and drought to be averted, and for timely and abundant rains to ensure good harvests.

They also conducted a Sankalpam recitation amidst Vedic chants, wishing for health and longevity for all people, and for calamities such as untimely deaths, fire accidents, and vehicle mishaps to be avoided.
