Authorities are exploring additional parking and traffic measures to ensure smoother pilgrim movement during the upcoming Ashada festival at Indrakeeladri.

Ahead of the Ashada festivities, officials inspected the riverfront stretch from Durga Ghat to Head Water Works to strengthen traffic flow and vehicle parking arrangements for the expected surge in devotees.

Temple Executive Officer V.K. Seena Naik, ACP Durga Rao, CI Guna Ram and traffic police officials jointly reviewed the site to identify suitable parking alternatives. With increasing vehicle movement from the Hyderabad National Highway and limited parking space atop Indrakeeladri, the EO said alternative locations are being explored to ease congestion and improve convenience for pilgrims.

He added that a proposal will be submitted to the Endowments Commissioner and the District Collector, seeking permission to utilise the stretch between Head Water Works and Durga Ghat for devotee parking and traffic management during the festive period.
