At the Sri Durga Malleshwara Swamy Temple, located on Indrakeeladri, the Surya Upasana service was conducted with great grandeur amidst the devotion of devotees on Sunday morning.
This special spiritual program, held for the welfare of the world, the health and longevity of devotees, and their well-being, was conducted by the temple's Vedic scholars in accordance with the scriptures.
On this occasion, the Vedic scholars performed the Aruna Parayana, Maha Soura Parayana, and the Surya Ashtottara Shatanamavali Parayana, offering special worship to Lord Surya. The event, which took place amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras, created a spiritual atmosphere. The temple's Vedic scholars stated that according to astrology, Surya Upasana leads to health, radiance, self-confidence, and mental peace. They explained that this service holds special significance, particularly on Sundays, which are considered auspicious for Lord Surya. After the Surya Upasana, special Aarti was offered to Sri Kanaka Durga, and prasadam was distributed to the devotees.
