Due to the summer holidays and a government holiday, a large number of devotees flocked to the Sri Shailam temple on Sunday. From early morning, the queues were filled with devotees, prompting temple officials to make special arrangements for darshan and facilities. On this occasion, the Executive Officer, Mr. M. Srinivasa Rao, stated that special measures have been taken to ensure that all devotees have a satisfactory darshan of Sri Swami and Ammavaru.
He mentioned that the temple administration is working diligently to ensure that devotees can have darshan without any inconvenience. To facilitate the devotees, hot milk is being provided daily at the queue complex starting at 6 AM. Additionally, today, offerings of Kattu Pongali, Pulihora, and Perugannam were distributed to the devotees. It was also revealed that drinking water, buttermilk, and biscuits are continuously available. Considering the severity of the summer heat, officials stated that several cooling centers have been set up in the temple surroundings to provide cool drinking water and buttermilk to the devotees. The temple doors were opened at 3 AM, and after conducting the morning services, darshan continued from 4:30 AM to 4:30 PM. It was also announced that darshan would resume again from 5:30 PM. This morning, the Executive Officer inspected the queue lines within the temple premises and spoke directly with the devotees to gather feedback on the arrangements. Temple officials noted that all departmental officials are coordinating to provide services in light of the heavy crowd of devotees.
