SCRWWO President Inaugurates Renovated School, Welfare Facilities in Vijayawada Division

SCRWWO President Vandana Srivastava inaugurated a renovated school and welfare facilities in Vijayawada Division.

The South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (SCRWWO) carried out a series of welfare initiatives during the visit of its President, Smt. Vandana Srivastava, to the Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway.

A key highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the renovated Jack & Jill (E.M.) School at Vijayawada. The programme was attended by Smt. Versha Sonakiya, President SCRWWO/Vijayawada Division, Smt. Konda Veena Chandana, Vice President SCRWWO/BZA, Smt. Niharika Maneri, Secretary SCRWWO/BZA, Smt. R. Pavitraa, Secretary of the school, and Smt. V. Sindhura Lakshmi, Treasurer SCRWWO/BZA. The renovation of the school reflects SCRWWO’s continued commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure and creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for children. As part of the initiative, Smt. Vandana Srivastava also inaugurated a Safe Sanitary Disposal Unit to promote hygiene awareness and dignity among students.

In addition, SCRWWO donated 14 more Safe Sanitary Disposal Units to various offices across Vijayawada Division. Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Vandana Srivastava said that SCRWWO remains committed to holistic welfare, particularly in the areas of education and health. She said the upgraded facilities at Jack & Jill School would help create a positive learning atmosphere and support the overall development of students. Smt. Versha Sonakiya said it was a proud moment for Vijayawada Division to witness the transformation, adding that the renovated school and modern sanitation facilities would have a lasting impact on students and the wider community. As part of the welfare tour, the SCRWWO President also visited institutions such as Asha Kiran and E-World, where she interacted with beneficiaries and reviewed the ongoing welfare activities being carried out by the organisation.

The visit once again reaffirmed SCRWWO’s dedication to community welfare, with a special focus on education, health, and empowerment initiatives across South Central Railway.
